Question #6: If White Pine Public School is not complete by September 2025 where will children starting JK attend?

Response: White Pine Public School is on schedule to open for September 2025. Should alternate arrangements be required we will communicate alternate arrangements at that time. 

Question #5: How do we register our kids for enrolment at White Pine Public School for September 2025?

Response: White Pine PS is scheduled to open in September 2025. School registration will open this winter, with details available here: https://www.tvdsb.ca/en/schools/register-for-school.aspx. 

Question #4: I have been told by another parent who has been emailing the board that if we are currently in Lambeth Public School that we will have the choice of keeping our kids there or go to new school. Please tell me this is true. We live in Talbot Village.

Response : Students residing within the attendance area of the new Southwest London Elementary School (White Pine Public School) who will be entering grade 8 in the 2025-2026 school year will be provided with the legacy agreement option to remain at their current school, with transportation (if eligible for busing). Siblings of these grade 8 students can also attend the same school, with transportation (if eligible for busing) for the 2025-2026 school year only.

Question #3: Do you have an update on the school progress? 

Response:  Please subscribe to the project page for all the latest information including opening timelines and phase of the project: Southwest London School - TVDSB. As of today the project has been awarded to a Contractor and the school is scheduled to open for September 2025.

Question #2: What is the current status of new school? What is the estimated completion date for this new school? 

Response: As of June 9, 2023 the school is currently in the design phase and are hoping to have the school completed for the start of the 25/26 school year pending the appropriate approvals we require. As we progress further along the Ministry of Education Capital Approval Process we will be in a better position to provide timelines and update the website.
