The Thames Valley Parent Involvement Committee (TVPIC) is looking for new members to help boost family engagement and to support the important work done by school councils. As a member of TVPIC, your ideas can help us build opportunities for engagement in our schools and have district-wide impact.
The committee consists of parent members, community members, staff and a Trustee who meet throughout the school year. TVPIC, like all Parent Involvement Committees across Ontario, has several roles, including providing information and advice about parent engagement to the board, communicating with and supporting school councils, and undertaking activities to help parents and caregivers support their children’s learning at home and at school.
TVPIC is committed to improving student achievement and well-being while providing a direct link between families and the school board. Meetings are held monthly and are open to the public.
