Tech Emphasis

Learn about TV, video, and movie production; radio and audio production; print and graphic communications; photography; digital imaging; broadcast journalism; and interactive new media and animation.

Develop skills related to the I.T. industry. Learn about hardware, software, networks and operating systems. 

Acquire skills related to carpentry, electrical/network cabling, heating and cooling, masonry, and plumbing.

Students will research projects, create designs, build models, and assess products using appropriate tools, techniques and strategies.

Students work on projects that encompass several different technological areas, using a range of equipment and resources suited to the various areas.

Students explore all areas of the green industries, including agribusiness, horticulture management and science, and landscaping architecture.

Students may focus on careers such as hairstylist, aesthetician, nail technician, or make-up artist.

Careers include child care worker, dental assistant/dentist, gerontologist, laboratory technician/technologist, doctor, nursing assistant/nurse, pharmacy assistant/pharmacist, and personal support worker.

Develop food preparation and presentation skills; learn about event planning and marketing, customer relations, human resource management, inventory management, and tourism administration and management.

Students acquire knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering, robotics and control systems, computer-aided manufacturing, industrial maintenance, precision machining, welding, and sheet metal.

Develop skills and prepare for careers in the servicing and repair of vehicles, aircraft, and/or watercraft as well as other skills needed for success in the transportation industry.
