Students taking the hairstyling program have the opportunity to work in a salon/spa environment where they will provide services for a diverse clientele; thus, allowing students to focus on pursing their career as a hairstylist, aesthetician, nail technician, or make-up artist. Our in school component will allow students to gain hands-on experiences by using professional materials and equipment. Students will learn professional terminology, transferable problem solving skills, and learn skills that will assist them in the hairstyling and aesthetics fields. In addition, students will have the ability to expand their communication and interpersonal skills by interacting with their peers and clients.
Course materials include the standard Milady textbooks that cover theory for Level 1, Level 2, and the final licensing exam. All other equipment and products needed for classroom use will be provided. Students are encouraged to purchase a mannequin for individual use.
