Woodstock Collegiate Institute (WCI) is a mid-sized high school where every student can feel recognized while still enjoying big-school opportunities. Our size is our advantage, building strong relationships and giving students choice and access – without being lost in the crowd. Students thrive in OFSAA-winning sports teams that build excellence, teamwork and pride. Creativity shines through our renowned Musical Theatre program, recognized for high-quality performance and student leadership. WCI also offers multiple Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM), including Health and Fitness, Non-Profit, Healthcare, Arts and Culture, and Communication, providing hands-on learning and career pathways. At WCI, students find balance between opportunity, belonging and achievement, which prepares them for postsecondary success and meaningful community involvement.

WCI students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of successful sports and clubs, thanks to our incredible staff and community volunteers. We are the home of the Red Devils, packed with school spirit and the pride of the Woodstock community. Our school's size encourages everyone to participate and to feel part of a close-knit community, taking pride in the Red Devil spirit.
We offer three Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs in Arts and Culture, Information Technology, and Athletics, Recreation and Leisure.
Our prestigious Musical Theatre program is second to none, attracting talented students from all over the county.
We are the region's designated French Immersion high school, with students from all corners of Oxford County taking advantage of this high-end language and cultural academic program.
Our History
Woodstock Collegiate Institute has a rich tradition of celebrating excellence in academics, the arts and athletics. High schools in Woodstock date back to 1841 when the parliament of Upper Canada voted to include a grammar school in Woodstock. The original WCI building was erected in 1881 very close to our current location, with our current historic building being built in 1939.
Our building continues to benefit from facility improvements that include new windows, bricks, and newly renovated science classrooms. We have a completely refinished gym floor and brand new glass backboards.
