Harrisfield Public School was formed in September 2011 through the amalgamation of students from Harris Heights, Westfield, and VMS schools. The building, originally named Harris Heights Public School, was constructed in 1972 to serve students from surrounding communities, including Foldens, Salford, Dereham, Mount Elgin, Clark Sideroad, and Dickson Corners.
The school is located on a spacious, tree-lined property and is known for its scenic setting, which includes a large playground and a wooded area.
Harrisfield serves students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. The school has over 530 students, with most students transported by bus from communities across South-West Oxford Township.
