2026-2027 Safe and Inclusive School Plan

Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.

Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.

The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.

Key Priorities and Goals

• We are focusing on restorative practice and relationship building to resolve conflict
• This year we are focusing on students' connections to the school and Tillsonburg community. 
• We will continue to increase students' awareness of mental health supports available to them.

We are doing this to increase student belonging and participation in school while also promote positive physical and mental health and continuing to grow a positive school culture.

Key Actions or Strategies

• Use restorative practices to build relationships and develop student interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills and self advocacy

• Increase the number of extracurricular activities and clubs available to students based on their interests.

• Increase awareness of mental health supports available to the students.

• Continue to work with our community partners to build stronger connections between Glendale High School and the businesses and organizations in the Tillsonburg area.
