Southside School was built in 1956 to educate the students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 who lived in the south-west corner of Woodstock, Ontario. At the present time, the school welcomes 393 students from Full-Day Kindergarten to Grade 8. An addition was completed in 2018.
Southside Public School is the home of the Tigers. True to our slogan, the staff, parents and students work together to provide a caring learning environment that enables students to realize their potential and contribute positively to their community. We have an enthusiastic, dedicated staff who provide quality instruction in all areas of the curriculum. With the newly renovated spaces like the maker space and learning commons, along with two green screen rooms we have the ability to give out students the 21st century learning they need and want!
Our School is a diverse and welcoming learning community that believes that building relationships is a key to student achievement.
We are home to the Southside Tigers and our mascot is Spirit.
We build each student's tomorrow, every day! We believe that our relationship with home is essential and encourage open communication.
At Southside we remember to respect ourselves, respect other and respect the property of others. Southside Tigers are roaring to the top! ROAR!
