After School Programs
Running and Reading Club
R&R Club is a free, weekly after-school program designed for
children in grades 1–6.
Each session combines physical activity and literacy to support
students' physical, mental, and academic well-being.
- 30 minutes of running games and fitness
- 30 minutes of reading, journaling, and literacy activities
- Mentorship from caring volunteers
- Fun, encouragement, and personal goal setting
Students are expected to attend the program each week and
participate in a year-end 5K run and reading challenge.

Learning it Together Program
Western Learning it Together - LiT Program
LiT is an after-school program that provides children valuable one-on-one sessions with a Western University student mentor at a crucial time in their development, ideally between grades one to eight.
Our program focuses not only on healthy living, but also on literacy and numeracy.
Tuesday 3:30-4:30
Boys and Girls Program
Junior “My Action Plan (MAP)” program
This program is for grades 4-8
Program focuses on large group skill building as well as one on one, specific tutoring for each child.

Registration for this program (fees vary) includes a one-year membership to the BGC and are still being accepted, so please reach out to your homeroom teacher if you are interested.
