About Us

Bonaventure Meadows Public School is an elementary school, proudly serving the community of London, Ontario. The school was opened to students in 1994, located on grounds that at one time was nothing more than open meadows. We are a JK-Grade 8 school, committed to working together with all staff, caregivers, and students, to inspire students to become life-long learners.

M — Make time to listen and speak respectfully

All students will be provided with time and support to calm down in any heightened situations. Bonaventure staff will support students and teach them strategies so that they can remain calm, safe and respectful in the learning environment.

A — All our rules will be fair and reasonable

The expectations we have of our students will be attainable and appropriate for their different age groups, abilities and developmental levels.

G — Give and Show Respect

Students and staff are all expected to treat each other with kindness and respect. Students will learn what respect looks like, sounds like, and feels like as part of our Character Education program focus.

I — I keep my hands to myself

Students will be taught that conflicts can be solved by using helpful words—not hurting hands. Actions that are aggressive and violent are unacceptable. A progressive discipline approach will be used to ensure that the consequences are appropriate in each situation.

C — Consequences are appropriate for my own actions

Our goal is to teach students to understand that they are responsible for their behaviour and capable of managing their own actions. Acceptable behaviour, problem-solving strategies, and anti-bullying procedures will be taught and practiced on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
