Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School is a grade 9-12 comprehensive secondary school with a very strong tradition of excellence in academics, arts, scholarship, sports and community service. We are proud to offer one of the most comprehensive selections of courses and programs in the Thames Valley District School Board. We have superb music, athletic and drama programs, a full offering of French Immersion programs as well as an incredible number of academic and technological courses. We believe that all destinations after high school have worth and we endeavour to prepare students equally well for college, university and the world of work.

A full offering of French Immersion programs taught by educators who are either French first-language speakers and/or hold Master of Arts degrees in French.
Three Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) options: Health and Wellness, Business, and Construction.
A wide variety of study options including business, physical education, open and applied programming, automotive, construction, design, communication technology, hospitality, and health care. Our proximity to Medway Arena and the Aquatic Centre allows us to offer hockey and swim courses.
Many extracurricular opportunities such as music, athletics, competitive debate, chess, robotics and more. Banting has a number of specialized Physical Education Programs such as the Banting Hockey Academy Program, Aquatics Gym and Dance.
Each fall, 160 students attend the overnight camp, D.A.R.E. (Delegates Attaining Raw Experience) - an over thirty-year tradition that creates a strong sense of community.
A very strong music program with both instrumental (winds), guitar and an outstanding vocal program.
