WILD Program

The Wilderness-Based Interdisciplinary Leadership Development (WILD) Program is a student led outdoor and experiential learning opportunity.

The course centres around student planning and implementation of a seven-day canoe trip in Quetico Provincial Park. This unique learning opportunity will allow students to explore and develop an intimate connection to a wilderness location.

Secondary students from across TVDSB are invited to apply to participate in a blend of in-class and online learning beyond their regular school schedule. During the summer, students will apply the course theories of leadership and planning in an authentic and experiential manner in the field.

The W.I.L.D. Program was paused in 2020 due to the global pandemic and continues to be paused due to organizational changes and various other challenges. The current plan is that the W.I.L.D. program will offered once again beginning in the SUMMER OF 2024!
