Scotiabank Scholars Program

The Scotiabank Scholars program is unique program for high school students aimed at breaking down barriers through pathway programming and creating a community where young leaders can thrive academically, professionally and socially.

With sessions held both virtually and on-campus at Huron University at Western University, students can gain exposure and confidence in attending a higher education setting. Programming will cover topics like university preparation and career development.

The Scotiabank Scholars Program

  • Virtual and on-campus sessions covering topics like navigating university admissions, presentation skills and networking. Sessions are hosted during school hours will all associated costs covered.
  • The Scotiabank Summer Camp is an immersive summer experience, where student stay on-campus at Huron while participating in programming that builds their innovation and entrepreneurial skill-sets.
  • Each year, five full scholarships to Huron University will be awarded to Scotiabank Scholars participants, covering all tuition and fees.  

Who Is Eligible?

Grade 11 and Grade 12 students who are part of any one of the following communities:

  • Minoritized
  • Indigenous
  • Low-income
  • First-generation Canadians
  • Newcomers to Canada
