The School Within a University (SWAU) program at Brescia is delivered in partnership with the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) at Brescia University College in London, Ontario. SWAU-Brescia is open to current female-identified TVDSB students, 18 years of age or older, who have the goal of creating a pathway to post-secondary education and who may envision themselves studying at a university.
We are currently developing the SWAU-Brescia program for the 2023 - 2024 school year. Once we have more details we will post it here. Consider subscribing to this page, see below, so you are notified when an update is posted.
Admission into the Brescia SWAU program is based on a combination of the following criteria:
- Registration with Adult Day School and enrolling in a minimum of 1 course each term you are associated with the Brescia SWAU program.
- A determination that the student has an interest in pursuing post-secondary education, but may have found the traditional route through secondary school difficult;
- The student has completed a minimum of 22 secondary school credits (preferably 24), one of which is ENG3U;
- The student meets Brescia’s requirements for English language proficiency; and
- Successful completion of an interview to assess potential success in the program.
