General Information
  1. Students may only take ONE Summer School Credit Course, regardless of the mode of delivery. This can be one full credit course, or two half credit courses (e.g. Civics, Careers).
  2. It is recommended that students speak to their school Guidance Counsellor regarding course selections and prerequisite courses prior to completing their registration forms.
  3. Due to the compressed time frame of summer school, students must be available to attend ALL program dates. Regular attendance and punctuality are mandatory. Accommodations will not be made for family vacation plans or personal activities. Exam dates cannot be rescheduled or modified.
  4. Students under 18 years of age must have parent/legal guardian approval to register for summer school courses.
  5. International Students who are not Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents are required to pay Summer School Course Fees prior to registering for a summer school course. See details under Registration Information below.
  6. Summer school students are provided with textbooks and they are responsible for the care of these books. Each credit course requires a security deposit of $100 for textbooks and materials. On the first day of class students must bring a cheque, money order or Ontario Works book deposit form made payable to "Thames Valley District School Board". (Cash, Direct Deposit or Pre-Authorized Payment Forms will not be accepted). The security deposit will be returned to the student after all textbooks and materials have been returned in good condition.
  7. TVDSB reserves the right to cancel courses if there is insufficient enrolment. If a course is cancelled, students will be notified at the phone number or email address provided on their registration form.
  8. Students are responsible for their own transportation.
  9. Students are expected to adhere to the standard rules of academic integrity and follow the Code of Conduct. Behaviour that is contrary to a positive learning environment could result in a student's removal from summer school. See the Summer School Code of Conduct.
