How long does it take to complete an Online Self Study course?
Typically a course can be completed in three months.  Some students finish sooner.  This all depends on how much time a student can commit to the course.

You will be provided with a maximum of 5 months to complete your course. If you do not complete your course in this time frame, you will be required to re-register in the course.

How do I know that my work has been marked?

We do not call you when your work has come back marked. It is your responsibility to check your online course and see if work has been returned marked.

After you have completed all 20 lessons, and they have all been marked, you can contact one of our Adult Education Centres to book the writing of your final exam. You must pass the final exam in order to earn the credit in the course.

There will be no lesson marking during the period of December 19, 2020 to January 3, 2021 inclusive.

Where do I write my exam?

You will write your exam at one of the Adult Learning Centres (the location you registered at). Your individual examination time may be booked only after your final lesson has been marked and returned, and a passing average has been achieved for the 20 lessons of the course. You must pass the final exam in order to earn the credit in the course.

You must bring all your own materials to write the exam, i.e. pencils, pens, erasers, ruler, calculator (not calculator on your cell phone), etc. You will not be allowed any other materials, such as a cell phone, in the examination room. Please do not bring any valuables to the examination.
