Education Foundation Board of Directors

We are pleased to introduce the Board of Directors of Thames Valley Education Foundation. Our Board volunteers govern the work of the Foundation and ensure the Foundation is a solid steward of donations and an innovative fundraising force.

Education Foundation Staff

Jackie Ellefsen, CFRE

Jackie Ellefsen, development coordinator, TVDSB, joined the TVEF team as Executive Director in August 2016. With over 10 years experience in fundraising for community organizations, Jackie has a passion for education and enjoys building meaningful relationships in the community.

Before her current role, Jackie led a $5 million Cardiac Care Campaign at London Health Sciences Foundation and is proud to have earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2014.

In addition to free time hobbies such as travel, food and BBC mysteries, Jackie also enjoys her role as a instructor in Fundraising and Development at Western Continuing Studies and hopes to graduate with a Masters in Professional Education from Queen's University in 2019. Jackie professes that she now has her 'dream job', and hopes to continue to grow TVEF's profile and enhance educational opportunities for students in Thames Valley.

Jane Winsky
Jane Winsky, donations assistant and awards facilitator, joined the Thames Valley District School Board in 2009 as a Secondary School Assistant. After four wonderful years working at various schools in the valley, she decided to join Thames Valley Education Foundation. Jane brings 14 years of direct marketing experience as an Operations Supervisor and many years as a volunteer at a number of community organizations in London to the TVEF team.

Jane has a heart for students and enjoys managing the awards and scholarships portfolio to help students further their education. In her role as Awards Facilitator, she sees first-hand how the recognition and additional funds can encourage students to reach their full potential.

Stephanie Winterton

Stephanie Winterton, development assistant and event coordinator, joined TVEF in November 2018 and is responsible for TVEF events (including Toonie Tuesday, Run for the FUNd and Best First Day) and administration of the Caring Fund. In her previous role at the London Community Foundation she was a professional storyteller, creatively bringing community projects to life through various media channels. 

Stephanie has a Graduate Diploma, with distinction, from Western Continuing Studies in Not-for-Profit Management, in addition to an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree from King’s University College, UWO, with Honors Double Major in Sociology and Thanatology (Death and Bereavement Studies).
