David Cripps was elected to the Board of Trustees in October 2022, representing schools in Oxford County.

David has 15-plus years experience serving on elementary and secondary school councils as well as local Home and School Associations. He facilitated fundraising for an accessible playground at Harrisfield Public School and worked with the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Kiwanis Foundation to facilitate a new playground at Lucy McCormick School. He is a past member of the Thames Valley Parent Involvement Committee (TVPIC), represented TVPIC on the Rural Education Task Force from 2019 to 2020 and participated in the Attendance Area Review Committee for Ingersoll from 2010 to 2011.

David is a Project and Change Management Specialist and entrepreneur with a consistent record of leading successful projects and managing risk involving significant process and change management. He holds a diploma in Business Information Systems from Fanshawe College, a Masters Certificate in Project Management from York University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI). David is also a proud graduate of Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute, Victory Memorial Public School and Harris Heights Public School in Oxford County.

David currently sits as a Director with Community Futures Oxford. He is the past Chair of the Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute School Council and a past director with PlayRight Playgrounds Ingersoll, the Oxford County Library Board, the Southwestern Ontario Chapter of PMI, Toronto Kiwanis Foundation and the Kiwanis Club of Ingersoll. 

David grew up in Oxford County, just outside of Ingersoll. He currently lives in Ingersoll with his wife of 22 years, Cathy, and their two dogs, Apollo and Evie. They have four children who were all students at TVDSB schools and who “make their mom and dad proud on a daily basis”.
