Dear TVDSB Staff Families and Community Members,

As we come to the end of the 2024–2025 school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of our students, schools, and staff across the Thames Valley District School Board.

While the past year brought its share of challenges, we also continued to see successes and achievement across every school in our Board. Across our schools, students continued to shine – whether through academic excellence, artistic expression, athletic accomplishments, or community service. Graduation ceremonies this month have reminded us just how much potential lives within our classrooms, and what can be accomplished when we work together to support the growth and development of our students.

As a Board, we are incredibly grateful to the parents, guardians, and caregivers who partner with us every day. Your encouragement and involvement help lay the foundation for student success, and your support continues to make a meaningful difference in every school community.

We’re already preparing to welcome students back in September with renewed energy and a continued focus on safe, supportive learning environments. Over the summer, many of our staff members will be hard at work upgrading facilities, planning programs, and preparing classrooms for the fall. Their efforts behind the scenes are essential to ensuring a smooth and successful start to the next school year. As a Board, we remain committed to ensuring every student is supported with a focus on inclusion – academically, emotionally, and socially – and that our schools continue to be places where every student belongs and has the opportunity to grow and thrive.

In every school I’ve visited this year, I’ve continued to see what makes Thames Valley so special, including our caring staff, talented students, and families who believe in the power of public education. That gives me every reason to be optimistic about the year ahead.
