Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) is pleased to announce a tender for the construction of a $25 million elementary school and child care centre for Lucan has been awarded to Bronnenco Construction Ltd.  

Located on?Saintsbury Line?south of Gilmour Drive, behind Wilberforce Public School, the new Lucan school will be a junior kindergarten to grade 3 school with a childcare centre. The school will accommodate 531 students, include an 88-space child care centre and is expected to open for the 2026-2027 school year. Wilberforce Public School will be converted to a Grade 4 to 8 school. London Bridge Child Care Services will be the child care provider for the new Lucan school.  

The new Lucan school is one of 10 new elementary schools set to be built in Thames Valley by the TVDSB.  These schools are critical in ensuring growing communities in Thames Valley have access to modern, high-quality education facilities.  

The Ministry of Education announced funding for a new Lucan elementary school in March 2024.
