Thames Valley District School Board approves attendance area changes following Adelaide Metcalfe and Strathroy-Caradoc Attendance Area Review
The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) approved attendance area changes for the Adelaide Metcalfe and Strathroy-Caradoc Attendance Area Review (AMSCAAR) on May 23, 2025.
The purpose of AMSCAAR was to balance enrolment across schools, decrease reliance on portables and shorten travel times for students.?The?review?also strengthens TVDSB’s business case to the Ministry of Education for a planned new school in the Strathroy area.???
The soonest the Board would implement any attendance area changes would be September 2026.
TVDSB is grateful to the attendance area review committee for their input and recommendations.
Please see below for a list of approved recommendations. You can also visit www.tvdsb.ca/AMSCAAR.

MacDonald PS, and the new Strathroy elementary school as shown in Appendix A to the April 8, 2025 report titled “Adelaide Metcalfe and Strathroy-Caradoc Elementary Panel Attendance Area Review: Final Attendance Area Review Report” be approved and that this take effect September 2026 and once a new school in Strathroy opens, per the phasing in Appendix A; and
