The name of our new school reflects the historic name given to an 1820's area settlement for refugee blacks who came to Upper Canada through the Underground Railway.  The Wilberforce Colony was named in honour of William Wilberforce, a British politician who led the movement to abolish slavery in the British Colonies.

Our mission is to educate the whole child.  We believe that all children can excel at academics, and that activities and citizenship are just as important.  Our students know that we have high expectations for them, and they strive to meet them.  We welcome involvement from parents and the community.
