  • Block 2, Assignments - 30%
  • Block 3Culminating Activity - 10%
  • Block 4, Exam - 20%
Teacher lessons are given each class; information is provided in the "Daily Presentations" section of this website.  Students are expected to take notes from presentations and contribute to the classroom/lesson discussion on a regular basis.  Students are assigned regular textbook questions as part of their Self-Directed Learning.  The REFLECT Questions are discussed and answered during the following class.  Student Self-Directed Learning (5%) is assessed as part of Block 2, Assignments.

The following sub-pages of this Assessment INFO section detail the assessment and evaluation weighting of each assessment block within the course: Chapter Quizzes, Assignments, Culminating Activity, and the Exam.  Interactive graphs provide a detailed analysis of how student work is weighted within the final course evaluation.

Students are encouraged to participate in Civics class to engage their own learning.  If students have any questions, they may arrange extra help or tutor sessions during lunch hour on Day 2 in Room 306.
