Welcome to Algonquin Public School Library!

This 2011-2012 year we have many new books; picture books, fiction books and non-fiction! All your child needs is a completed permission form to be able to access our resources.

Every year we have been fortunate to have the support of the School Council to purchase the books for The Forest of Reading Program sponsored by the Ontario Library Association. For more information on this, please see the message board at the side.

We try to host at least two Book Fairs throughout the school year. These serve two purposes; to get books into the hands of our students and to raise funds for new library resources. Notices about these Book Fairs will be in the school newsletter and on posters around the school. The first one is held in September during the week of the Meet the Teacher Night.

Also, we try to host an author or illustrator each year if possible.

Although this is my second year with this website, I'm still learning so please bear with me! Hopefully we will be able to build a spot where students can find resources for their studies and great books for their reading pleasure! If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
