Red Maple Message Board

This message board is designed to facilitate communication between students in grade 8 who are reading the Red Maple Fiction novels.  Students from both Stoneybrook and Jack Chambers are responding to these books using message boards found on each school's library webpage.

Each student is required to post at least one comment on their school library webpage message board for a minimum of five novels read. (i.e. one comment per book = 5 comments) In addition, they are asked to post a comment for at least five books on the partnering school's website. (i.e. one comment per book = 5 comments) Students who read more than the minimum of 5 books are welcome to respond to all books they have read on both message boards.

Please remember we are setting these message boards up to facilitate communication between the students of the schools. We ask that your comments/posts are creative and constructive in nature and show respect for the ideas of others! Looking forward to this collaborative project!

Happy reading and writing!

Red Maple 2011
Welcome to the Red Maple message board. Students are reading the Red Maple books as part of the Forest of Reading Program. This page is designed to allow students to respond to the books they read and to posts that fellow classmates make. In addition we will be communicating and responding to posts from students from Stoneybrook Public School as well. It is our hope this interactive project will allow students an opportunity to share and explore some great Canadian books with each other! Good luck and happy reading...may the best book win!
