Lightning strikes at Fairmont PS

DeAnthony Bowden, a point guard/shooting guard of the National Basketball League’s championship London Lightning team, spent a morning at Fairmont Public School talking to students about the importance of school, striving to achieve their dreams, setting goals and working as a team.

In speaking to each of the divisions in the school, Bowden did an excellent job of skillfully adjusting his message so that his words resonated with each age group.

Bowden toured classrooms, signed autographs and spent the morning recess outside with students.

Bowden also posed with Fairmont's boys' basketball team.
