Ross students aim to deliver the mountain to those in need
Thursday, May 10, 2012 – Students at Sir George Ross Secondary School will be collecting clothing for Goodwill Industries on Monday, May 14. Beginning at 8:15 a.m. students and staff members will bring bags of clothing donations to the school cafeteria to build a "mountain of clothes” for Goodwill Industries. “Our small but mighty crew of Grade 9 and 10 students decided that after hearing about how important these donations are to Goodwill, that they would organize a clothing drive at Ross,” says Laura Pollard, head of guidance. At the end of the day, the donations will be delivered to the Goodwill Industries location on Adelaide Street in London. Some of the hours contributed by students to organizing the drive will be counted towards the ChangeTheWorld youth volunteer challenge. What: Mountain of Clothes for Goodwill Industries When: Monday, May 14, 2012 at 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. Where: Sir George Ross Secondary School, 365 Belfield Street, in the cafeteria For More Information:
