Supervisory Officers - Executive Council

	Bill Tucker Director of Education and Secretary Phone: 519-452-2000 Ext. 20001 The Director of Education is the chief educational/executive officer and Secretary of the Board. As a senior administrator of the organization, the Director is accountable through the superintendents and staff for providing educational leadership and direction to the system. The Director provides advice to the Board of Trustees for the establishment policy.

	Karen Dalton Executive Superintendent of Operations Services Phone: 519-452-2000 Ext. 20083 The responsibilities of the Operations Department include the operational administration of the school system. Areas of responsibility include student improvement, capital planning, Research & Assessment, the assignment and supervision of Principals and Vice-Principals, student discipline, legal issues, OnSIS, and the day-today operation of schools.

	Laura Elliott Executive Superintendent of Program Services Phone: 519-452-2000 Ext. 20380 Program Services has the responsibility for Curriculum; Special Education Programs and Services; Information Technology, Library and Media Services; Support for School Improvement; First Nation, Metis, and Inuit Programming; Equity and Inclusive Education; Elementary and Secondary Athletics; and two specialized school programs (Madeline Hardy and W.D. Sutton). Madeline Hardy and W.D. Sutton programs operate on grant funding made available through the Ministry of Education. Educational programs are provided to students from the three First Nations communities under tuition agreements paid to the Board by the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, Chippewa of the Thames First Nation and Munsee-Delaware First Nation.

	Mike Sereda Executive Superintendent Business and Human Resource Services Phone: 519-452-2000 Ext. 20254 m.sereda@tvdsb.on.ca Business and Human Resource Services provides a broad range of services from fiscal management and accountability for Board funds to the recruitment and selection of staff.Responsibility includes the effective management and administration of departments including Finance, Payroll, Purchasing, Transportation, Insurance and Food Services. As well the department oversees assignment of staff, promotions, transfers, casual assistance; Compensation - benefits, labour relations, vacation and absenteeism, retirement counselling, and long term illness counselling.
