Ruth Tisdale
 | Ruth Tisdale was first elected to the Board of Trustees in November 2006, representing London Wards 1, 11, 12 and 14 and was re-elected for a second term in 2010. Ruth holds the positions of Vice Chair of the Board, and Chair of the Audit Committee, and serves on the Budget Advisory Committee, Chairs Committee, Negotiations Advisory Committee, OPSBA (Ontario Public School Boards Associations) Board Committee, Policy Working Committee, Supervised Alternative Learning Committee, and the TVDSB/City of London Liaison Committee. In previous years, Ruth has also served on the Thames Valley Education Foundation, By-law Review Committee, the Special Education Advisory Committee, the Thames Valley District School Board Student Pathways for Success - District Wide Advisory Committee, as an alternate for the Supervised Alternative Learning for Excused Pupils (SALEP) Committee, and as a member of the Ontario Public School Boards Association (OPSBA) Education Program Work Team. Prior to her election as a trustee, Ruth held the positions of Chair of the TVDSB Special Education Advisory Committee, Chair of the TVDSB Communications and Public Relations Committee, Vice-Chair of the Thames Valley District School Council, Member of the Planning Committee for the Annual Provincial School Council Symposiums, and Resolutions Chair for the Thames Valley Council of Home and School Associations. She has also been a member, Treasurer, and President of the Princess Anne French Immersion Home and School Association; a member, and Chair of the Princess Anne French Immersion School Council; a member, Treasurer, Vice-Chair, and Chair of the Wilton Grove School Council; and a member of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School Council. Within her community, Ruth has served as the Treasurer of Canadian Parents for French – Thames Valley Chapter; and as a Scouts Canada Group Committee Treasurer. Born and raised in London, Ruth is married with five children. She holds an Honors Degree in Business, Management and Organizational Studies, with a double major in Accounting and Community Development from Brescia University College – UWO in London.
