Budget Advisory Committee

The Budget Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Board on budget assumptions for each fiscal year. The Committee assists in the development of the annual budget of the Thames Valley District School Board by providing information, advice and liaison between the trustees and staff charged with the development of the budget.

The Committee participates in the development and implementation of a communications plan to provide budget information to the community and receive input from parents, students, staff and other stakeholders on budget issues.

The Committee monitors provincial budget issues and considers the impact of provincial issues on the Thames Valley District School Board. It also considers the impact of other budgetary pressures that may be unique to Thames Valley.

The Committee meets as required. Five trustees serve on the Committee.
