Message from the Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Community Members,
Thames is a unique school in many ways. Smaller pupil teacher ratios allow the staff and students to develop strong relationships which grow during the students’ years at Thames. The pathway structure also allows staff to follow the same group of students over a number of years and to assist them with academic and personal challenges. The many technical programs at Thames give our students the chance to experience a wide range of practical skills that may lead directly to employment in the work place. Our work experience and cooperative education programs also give students an opportunity to use their skills in real job placements. A number of our students are offered part or full time employment by their coop contacts.
I encourage you to get involved with the school by attending our School Council meetings and by meeting with teachers on our Parent Interview days.
