Principal’s Message June has arrived quickly! Where did the school year go? I will be sending home a final newsletter with staffing updates and information for September. This month, we want to share our thanks with our many volunteers that have helped out SO much. We have over 100 parents, grandparents, friends and neighbours all working for the betterment of all students at Southwold. Take a look at these busy folks (check out our website coloured copy of this newsletter for a great peek). THANK YOU to our FANTASTIC volunteers May was an extremely busy month as several co-curriculars re-started. Many thanks to our teachers who volunteered their gift of time to run our soccer teams, track and field events, volleyball, games and skipping clubs, talent shows and floor hockey. We were very fortunate to also have parents help with coaching of our junior soccer! Special thanks as well to our Grad Committee who has worked very hard to create a fun celebration for our grade 8 grads. Soon, the grade 8 teachers will be taking our grads up to Camp Celtic for their year end trip.........we know they will have lots of fun! Our School Council has been a hard working and dedicated group. Your leadership was amazing! Volunteering is a true gift of time and our students' school experience is enriched because of it. Thank you! I hope you will join us in the celebration of the Southwold Volunteers on June 13th at our Coffee Hour in the Primary Gym, between 9 and 10. Sue Bandeen, Principal
