Our library was relocated in the last few years from its old location in the southwest corner of our school, to its much more prominent and patron friendly location at the front of the building.

Since 2001, we have worked hard to not only increase our collection from about 5500 to about 10 000 items, but to build a collection that is a good fit for our primary level students. Consequently, our collection includes a relatively large picture book collection with over 3500 titles, including many recent titles by award winning Canadian authors. We are fortunate enough to have an extensive collection of nonfiction titles that support virtually any subject area of the Ontario Curriculum.

As part of our overall vision for our library/information centre, the computer lab has also been relocated, and is now adjacent to the library.

Both school and community are proud of our facility, and even with all the current hype regarding the future of libraries in a "wired world", a visit to our library during a busy afternoon, along with the look of excitement on the faces of our young readers as they find that "perfect book" will reaffirm that books in print form are not going away anytime soon.
