Welcome to the House of Blue, Stampeders!

On behalf of the Parkside staff and administration, I wish to extend a warm welcome - or welcome back - to all of our students. Whether you are new to Parkside or a returning student, we know that you are going to find the courses and programs you need to provide you with an excellent academic foundation for your future.

Exciting things are happening at Parkside this year. In the summer, we had electrical updates to every classroom, making our school a ‘greener’ place. New locker doors have been added in the North West Hallway. Our courtyard is being updated. A new greenhouse is being built. We continue to ensure that Parkside has the greatest number of learning opportunities for all of our students.

I encourage you to get involved in your school! By joining one of our clubs or trying out for one of our many sports teams, you let your Stampeder Spirit out. You can also join the band, our national champion power cheerleading team, or our highly successful improv team. There is truly something for everyone in the House of Blue!

This year we have three key school goals. They are character, achievement and graduation. We want you to learn the important lessons in the classroom as well as how to be the great people you can be. That is why we are focusing on character education, improving student achievement and increasing graduation rates. I encourage all stakeholders in education to be part of this process.

Your safety and success in school are our top priorities. We have many supports in place to assist you as you work towards attaining your graduation diploma. If you ever need help, just ask! We will be happy to help you.

Bienvenue la Maison Bleue, Stampeders!

De la part du personnel de Parkside et de la part de l'administration, je vous souhaite un accueil chaleureux. Si vous tes débutant Parkside ou un étudiant qui retourne, je suis certain que vous trouverez les programmes dont vous aurez besoin pour votre avenir.

Il y a toutes sortes de nouveautés chez PCI pour cette année. Par exemple, le syst me électrique était mis jour alors PCI est maintenant un peu plus « vert ». Les nouvelles portes de casier ont été installées dans le couloir nord-ouest et aussi on verra des changements « lumineux » dans notre cour. Une nouvelle serre sera construite. On tache continuellement d’offrir autant d’opportunités d’apprentissage que possible.

Je vous encourage vous impliquer ici par joindre un club, l’orchestre ou une équipe de sport pour demontrer votre Esprit de Stampeder. Que votre participation soit avec les majorettes (Champions Nationals) ou la troupe d’improvisation, il y a véritablement une activité pour tout le monde.

Cette année il y a trois objectifs clés pour l’école: la cultivation du caract re, succ s académique et croissance en remises des diplômes. Il y a des leçons apprendre l’intérieur de la classe ainsi qu’ l’extérieur comme citoyen(ne). J’encourage tout le monde faire partie du processus.

Votre sécurité et votre scolarité sont les premi res des priorités chez PCI. Nous avons mis en place des soutiens pour assurer votre succ s pendant que vous tâchez d'obtenir votre diplôme d'études secondaire. Si jamais vous en avez besoin, on y est pour vous. Il ne faut que demander !
