Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute

Visual Arts

Courses

IDCI has an art course for you ! Grades 9 & 10 are open level courses; Grade 11 offers open & college/university levels, and Grade 12 is a college/university program. As well as the core Visual Arts courses, IDCI also offers a grade 11 media arts course.

Projects

A variety of techniques and materials are available in every grade level in the units of drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and design. Media such as graphite, marker, pastels, pen and ink, printing inks, acrylic paint, plaster, and clay enable students to create a wide range of art pieces.

Exhibitions

Showcasing the talents and successes of IDCI students is an important focus for the Art Department each year. Major art exhibits are organized for all grade levels within the school, as well as a year-end art show at the Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre. Check out the current display of artwork in the main hall and front foyer!
