A Terrific Start to Semester Two!

Exams are behind us, warm weather is ahead, so that must mean that semester two is well underway!  I.D.C.I. students and staff have adjusted well to new routines and faces.

I.D.C.I. Olympic Activities

Student Cabinet has planned many events to carry us through two weeks of Olympic competition.

The school has been divided into countries (based on period 1 classes). They are:


Math (all classes) – Canada
English (all classes) – United Kingdom
Science (all classes) – Russia
Technology (all classes) - China
Business/Drama/Geography – United States
Family Studies/Art (downstairs) – Australia
Languages/History – France
Music/Careers/Civics/Art (upstairs) – Jamaica
Physical Education – Sweden
Life Skills - Norway


Events begin February 10th with our Opening Ceremonies, and will carry through until Feb 26th.


Representatives will compete in each event at lunch hour. Points will be awarded based upon:

    • participation

    • completion of event

    • country spirit

    • sportsmanship


In addition points will be rewarded in the Hallway Decorating Competition.
