School Response To Threatening Behaviours: Fair Notice and Process:

"The TVDSB community-school threat assessment protocol was developed with community partners including local Police Services, Mental Health Services, Children's Aid Societies, Youth Justice and The London District Catholic School Board. The threat/risk assessment protocol is located on the TVDSB website. One of the steps in operationalizing this protocol is to provide fair notice to our students and their families about our threat assessment process. The school response to threatening behaviours: fair notice and process can be accessed through the safe schools icon on the TVDSB website"

"We're Tucking Into Healthy Grub!"

As part of IDCI's ongoing effort to promote healthy eating and to comply with the Ministry of Education's School Food and Beverage Policy, we have been working with students, parents, and staff to improve the nutritional value of food and beverages for sale in our cafeteria, vending machines and special event venues. We have started selling a variety of healthier options to our students. These changes will make it easier for students to choose healthy food and beverages and will help them practise what they learn in the classroom about healthy eating.

We are excited that the cafeteria and vending machines allow students to buy a variety of healthy food and beverages ... for energy and refreshment! We are making healthy eating easy!

As usual, any healthy food or beverage ideas are welcome!

For more information, please contact IDCI's "Healthy Schools" staff advisor Erin Bogart at 519-485-1200.
