Ealing Coin Drive for Haiti

Ealing Public School is holding a coin drive to raise money for the relief efforts in Haiti. All money raised will be donated through the Canadian Red Cross.

The tragic events in Haiti have moved a number of staff and students to start this relief effort. We would like to donate this money on behalf of Ealing Public School, and our community policing officer, Constable Pierre, who is originally from Haiti, and still has family there. Constable Pierre works closely with our Grade 6 students, doing the VIP (Values, Influences and Peers) program, and often speaks fondly of Haiti. This has inspired Helen, a student in Mr. Nutt’s Grade 6 class to donate this money in his name.

If you would like to donate to this worthwhile cause, it would be greatly appreciated. The coin drive will last until Friday, January 22, 2010.

Mr. Fraleigh "donated" his beard
for cancer research at our
Halloween Recognition Assembly
on October 30.

Here is a picture of a clean-shaven Mr. Fraleigh
with Mrs. Lorusso, who organized this event
with her grades 5/6 class.

Many thanks to both
for raising over $1000 for the Terry Fox Run,
and to all of our wonderful Ealing friends
who contributed to this worthy cause.
