Education Foundation

Thank you to everyone that supported the 2012 Supplies for Students Program. Because of your donations and assistance, over 1,700 filled backpacks have been distributed. Thank you for helping make this a record breaking year!

Supplies for Students

Supplies for Students is an annual initiative run by volunteers of the Thames Valley Education Foundation whose goal is to ensure every child in need starts the school year with a new backpack filled with school supplies.

Supplies for Students campaigns throughout the year and concentrates additional efforts in August to collect new backpacks and school supplies to meet the need of as many families as possible.  Backpacks are given to the Thames Valley District School Board and the London District Catholic School Board for distribution.  Supplies for Students is excited to partner with area businesses and individuals in support of their goals.  Your donations are distributed to schools in both boards as far north as Exeter and Stratford, and south to Rodney, Port Stanley, and Port Burwell.  Supplies for Students reaches west to Strathroy, Glencoe, and Wardsville, east to Norwich, Tillsonburg, and Drumbo, and everywhere in between.  Your help is needed to reach as many children and schools as possible!

Last year alone, Supplies for Students provided approximately 1,600 backpacks to students in need.

See printable brochure at the bottom of the page!

What is needed?

Supplies for Students relies on donations from generous community members, organizations and businesses. Supplies for Students happily accepts new school supplies as well as monetary donations. While donations of school supplies form the foundation of our program, financial donations allow us to purchase additional supplies to 'fill the gaps'.

The chart below will show you what we pack in backpacks for each age category and can be of assistance if you are wondering how you can help.
