Safe Schools/Gay Straight Alliance
- Forum Theatre is coming to Central on April 16, 2012 during period 2. Grade nine classes will attend this presentation from 9:50 to 10:50 in our auditorium, presented by the acting troupe from Sir W. Laurier High School. These drama presentations involve interactive theatre. The audience watches a short play which involves a variety of conflict resolution scenarios. The audience then watches the play a second time with the opportunity to stop the play and practice conflict resolution skills on stage.
- The Safe Schools committee meets monthly in room 120 at lunch. New students are always welcome to attend these meetings. Please listen to announcements or see Mrs. VanderWal or Ms. Moir if you would like to join this committee.
- The Gay Straight Alliance, or GSA committee meets weekly on Tuesdays in room 120 at lunch. New members are always welcome. Recently this club has grown in numbers and has been involved in several school and board based initiatives. For more information, you may see any of the teacher advisors: Mr. Hodgson, Ms. Moir, Ms. Bloomfield, or Ms. VanderWal.
