School Council is offering an information session to parents and community members about a potential daily timetable change, called "Balanced Day". Currently the instructional day at Byron Somerset is based on the traditional timetable. This means the morning and the afternoon both have 150 instructional minutes and both have a 15 minute recess. The lunch break is 1 hour. In a balanced day, instructional time is organized into 3 x 100 minutes of instruction with 2 breaks that total up to 90 minutes. A survey will be organized to determine if we should proceed with this. Come to the school on April 3rd to get the information you need to make an informed choice. Hope to see you there!
