Available Work Placements

Although we have an excellent rapport with many of our past co-op employers – NO EMPLOYER is obligated to take a co-op student.  Adult co-op students are expected to assist with the placement process.  Students must keep an open mind about placements and be flexible about duties and the learning experience.  An initial meeting or interview with a potential employer is usually requested by the employer before being accepted to a work placement.

NOTE:  Some areas are difficult to find placements in (i.e. Accounting and some science fields) and these students will be required to participate more actively in locating suitable placements.

Co-op Intake Process

Interested students must attend an information session.  These sessions will be held in the Career Centre (Room A220) at the G.A. Wheable Centre for Adult Education.  Dates will be announced.
